Intergovernmental Monitor

The Intergovernmental Monitor (Monitor) is a weekly publication prepared by the Maryland State Clearinghouse for Intergovernmental Assistance, at the Maryland Department of Planning. The Monitor announces projects received for intergovernmental review, which is a process for determining compliance with known State and local government laws, policies and guidelines.

The Monitor publishes all projects and proposals submitted for review. These include, but are not limited to, requests for federal and/or State financial assistance, State-owned real property, easements, and declarations of surplus needs, community development block grants, historic nominations, facilities plans, school sites, environmental assessments, senior centers, etc.

For the purposes of the publication, the week begins on Wednesday and ends on the Tuesday. Each weekly issue is numbered sequentially according to the State fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). All files are in PDF format and require the installation of the Acrobat Reader on your computer. The Acrobat Reader can be downloaded to your computer free of charge.

For information on funding opportunities that were announced in previous issues of the Monitor (prior to January 1, 2001) consult the Federal Register and other sources found on our Grant Resource Center pages.

Contact the Clearinghouse by e-mail or at 410-767-4490 to obtain more information about the Intergovernmental Monitor.
