The newest Census product from MDP, Multi-State Census View 2000, is a dynamic CD-ROM mapping product using ArcView 3.2. This product enables users to identify and select 2000 Census geographic layers (state, counties, census tracts, and block groups) of interest in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Connecticut and the District of Columbia., and generate 5 pages of profiles containing 2000 Census Population, Household, and Housing Characteristics from SF1 and 2000 Social, Economic and detailed Housing Characteristics from SF3.

Highlights:

• Key demographic and socioeconomic data for 10 states and for the District of
  Columbia.
• User can create standardized 5 page profiles for census geographies down to the block
  group level.
• Profiles can also be created for distinct User Defined Areas, defined by selecting and aggregating census tracts together. For example, a user can define a study area (neighborhood, marketing area, or service area) that includes parts of several states and generate the 5 page profiles.

Also available from MDP is an enhanced version of this product, Census View 2000 for Maryland, which includes: address locating software, the ability to geocode customer and client address databases, and the ability to be used in conjunction with Md Property View.
