Census Maps and Related Maps

The Maryland Department of Planning State Data Center is the official repository of data from the U.S. Bureau of the Census. All of the following maps can be printed on 8 ½" x 11" paper.

Maps delineating boundaries of different levels of Census geography, including but not limited to blocks, block groups, tracts, and census designated places are available on-line. These maps are available for 1990 and 2000.

In addition, the State Data Center has created maps of general demographic characteristics and selected social, economic, and housing characteristics for the year 2000 data.

The State Data Center offers zip code maps for every zip code in Maryland.

Users can also use the State Data Center's custom on-line tool to look up an address, determine the census tract in which it is located, and access profiles on racial, social, housing, economic, and demographic characteristics for the tract. Users can also determine their legislative or Congressional district using this tool.
