Maps

Property Mapping

MDP annually updates the 2,800 property maps, or tax maps, for all 23 Maryland counties (the exception is Baltimore City that maintains its own property maps).

Priority Funding Areas

In accordance with the 1997 Priority Funding Areas Act, every county in Maryland and Baltimore City has Priority Funding Areas that are eligible to receive State funding for infrastructure that supports growth. The Maryland Department of Planning is responsible for analyzing county-designated Priority Funding Areas to ensure that they meet criteria established in the law, and MDP maintains the official Priority Funding Areas maps.

Census

The Maryland Department of Planning State Data Center is the official repository of data from the U.S. Bureau of the Census. All of the following maps can be printed on 8 ½" x 11" paper.

Land Use

The Maryland Department of Planning is a comprehensive resource for maps of current land use for every jurisdiction in Maryland. The maps were developed using a combination of aerial photography, satellite imagery, and parcel data from MdProperty View. To view these maps on-line click here.

Redistricting

MDP has several map sets available regarding legislative districts. The maps delineate boundaries for the state's Congressional and State legislative districts.

Zip Codes

The State Data Center website has printable maps of every zip code in Maryland.

Address Lookup

Users can also use the State Data Center's custom on-line tool to look up an address, determine the census tract in which it is located, and access profiles on racial, social, housing, economic, and demographic characteristics for the tract. Users can also determine their legislative or Congressional district using this tool.

Generalized Zoning:

Maryland has 23 counties and Baltimore City, each of which has its own distinct zoning. In addition, many municipalities in Maryland have zoning responsibility. The Maryland Department of Planning created this Generalized Zoning map to display zoning at a state scale.
